2027 marks the 200th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the 198th year of the Philadelphia Flower Show. Iconic is the theme for the
show, and as PHS President Matt Radar puts it, “…ICONIC reflects our longstanding belief in the extraordinary power of gardening to shape lives and strengthen communities …. The Philadelphia Flower Show has always been where we bring the possibilities of gardening to life on the grandest scale, and there is no better place to celebrate this milestone.”
One special highlight of the 2027 show will be the display of five iconic Pennsylvania gardens: Chanticleer Garden in Wayne; Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square; Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh; the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden; and The Arboretum at Penn State in State College. Each one will create a garden that reflects its artistry and particular horticultural vision.
The show will include more than 30 major exhibitors, displays by well known landscape designers and floral artists; horticultural competitions, speakers, activities for children, and much, much more. Stay tuned.
