ASLA has released a new, online, green infrastructure guide, and you'll definitely want to bookmark the link.
It lists all the benefits of green building and landscaping, whether on a large or small scale. There are special sections on forests and nature reserves; wildlife habitat and corridors; cities; constructed wetlands; green streets; green roofs and walls.
For each section, there's an overview — but best of all, there are lists of U.S. and international organizations that may be helpful; blogs and magazine articles that deal with the subject; plus lists of research articles that you are not likely to find elsewhere.
This is a magnificent resource for anyone who is interested in the health of the global environment and sustainable landscapes. Use it!
