Let your imagination run wild … you are under a huge undulating ocean wave as you enter this years Philadelphia Flower Show … theme Hawaiian Islands.
I like to consider this show … and remember, it is a Flower Show … for current trends. SO … lots of big leaves, vibrant colors, ornamental grasses, and green walls, green walls, green walls.
I liked the green wall made out of 17 or 18 lettuces,
And I liked the one of tropicals, shown here
But aside from all the orchids … what, after all, do you expect to see in a tropical climate … I did like a lot of the plant combinations of big and not-so-big leaves.
Like this one of Agave perryi, Euphorbia 'Firesticks and Carex comans Frosted Curls.
And my favorite plant I will save for last … The Ti Plant … or at least I think the label was for this plant … Cordyline
